StellaSwap is the leading DEX and DeFi hub on the Moonbeam network, offering token swaps, liquidity pools, yield farming, and cross-chain bridging. We were engaged to deliver a comprehensive platform redesign that brought institutional-grade UX to a complex DeFi product.
The original interface was built quickly to meet market demand — inconsistent components, confusing swap and liquidity flows, and no design system to scale from. The challenge was making genuinely complex DeFi mechanics feel simple without dumbing them down for experienced users.
We built a complete design system in Figma, establishing tokens, components, and interaction patterns for every surface. The swap interface was redesigned with progressive disclosure — casual users see a clean one-screen flow, while power users can access advanced routing and slippage controls. Animated micro-interactions guide users through multi-step processes.
Total Value Locked increased 340% in the quarter following launch. Daily active users up 180%. The design system now powers three sub-products. StellaSwap became a reference DeFi UI cited by multiple protocol teams.
